The application portal will open on October 1st and review of applicants for Fall Quarter will begin on December 1st. Applicants are strongly urged to submit all materials including financial aid application forms, electronic transmissions, and all supporting documents to The Graduate School by 5 pm CST on December 1st.

Please note that we have new incoming faculty starting in fall of 2024 whose names  are not yet in the application portal. If a faculty member on our website is not listed in the drop down menu,  please select "undecided" and enter the faculty member's name in the space provided on the next page of the application.

If you wish to find out whether the faculty member whose lab you are interested in joining is taking new graduate students for this cycle, please contact them directly.

There are two graduate training programs in clinical psychology at Northwestern. This site contains detailed information on the program run by the Department of Psychology, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, located on the Evanston campus, which is primarily focused on research. The clinical program on the Chicago campus is affiliated with the Feinberg School of Medicine, and is focused on scientist/practitioner training.

When submitting applications, you need to CLEARLY specify the program to which you are applying. Your application will be forwarded to the wrong department unless you have the correct department number on your Graduate School application.
